In honor of International Women’s Day (IWD), The QA School, an active Nigerian tech academy, has announced it will award full scholarships to five female tech enthusiasts on Friday, March 28. The initiative aims to bridge the gender gap in the tech industry by providing women with critical skills in Software Testing and Quality Assurance (QA).
Breaking Barriers in Tech Education
Adeola Awodire, Chief Operations Officer of The QA School, emphasized that financial constraints often prevent women from pursuing tech careers.

“Tech skills seem out of reach to many women, but this shouldn’t be the case,” she said. “Our goal is to show that tech is neither boring nor complex—it’s an accessible and rewarding field.”
The scholarship targets young women and mid-career professionals who are eager to transition into tech but lack the resources to do so.
What the Scholarship Offers
The selected awardees will benefit from:
- Six-week intensive training in Software Testing and QA
- Professional branding workshops to enhance employability
- Internship opportunities with industry partners
- Career mentorship and networking access
Tosin Awodire, CEO of The QA School, highlighted the institution’s commitment to fostering talent:
“This initiative is part of our corporate social responsibility to empower women in tech. Beyond training, we’re ensuring our scholars gain real-world experience and connections to jumpstart their careers.”
